If you're looking for a way out of your marriage, you've just found it. Your love won't survive assembling this hulking mistake. The instructions were hard to follow, especially with someone screaming their eternal rage the entire time. If you have hearing aids, I'd suggest turning them off before you start. But, once you're done it doesn't end there. You will find new fury and hatred both for yourself and your partner as you realise the drawers don't work, none of them are aligned, and they catch when trying to open and close them. I hope you lift weights because you're gonna have to strong arm this drawer open anytime you need anything. The hardest part about this whole ordeal is that you don't realize how awful it truly is until after you put it together, and they require you to disassemble it to send it back. We won't be sending it back because a divorce is more expensive than the dresser.

I was a little reluctant to buy based on the reviews but most of them cited quality... you get what you pay for and for the price, you're not getting a dresser that will last for years on end.

1. It is delivered all in one box. The box is very heavy, almost 100 pounds. That's heavy for pressed wood but gave a little insight on quality.

2. My husband removed each piece from its packaging looking for any damage. Nothing was damaged and it was packed very well.

3. The instructions aren't as bad as some have claimed. My husband said they could be better but were easy to follow.

4. From start to finish, construction took an hour and 15 minutes. He did use a drill and is very construction saavy. It does have a ton of pieces and you will be building it from scratch.

5. Every piece did line up seemlessly, with no gaps, nothing uneven. I think if its built correctly, there's is absolutely no issues.

6. It is much sturdier than I had thought it would be. The finished product is beautiful and sleek. The bottom for the drawers are quite thin and the drawers themselves aren't deep. If they aren't over packed with heavy items, there shouldn't be issues. The drawers open and close nicely. We did use the provided hardware to secure it to the wall.

7. Overall, for the price, it's above expectations. It makes for a nice transition dresser.

I cannot believe that this is advertised as best children's furniture. When I opened the box and started taking the items out my nose and hands were burning. I take a flashlight to the items and everything is covered in a thin layer of fiber glass. My son was next to me and I immediately removed him from the room and started wiping everything down with a wet cloth. My hands, throat, lungs, and nose are now burning and this company should be dissolved for posing a human health hazard. I hope they see this. Serves me right for buying a cheap particle wood dresser. Will never buy from this company ever again. If you do order this, make sure you inspect with a flashlight for fiberglass! Great way to give your kids lung cancer!

Sadly, I could have given 5 stars because I do believe it's fairly priced and it does what I need it to do. I purchased 2 dressers from Storkcraft, one 4 drawer, and this 6 drawer. Unfortunately both shipments had a broken/damaged piece of furniture, (while I know this may not be the manufacturers fault, I believe packaging should be done better) there's less space in the drawers than I anticipated, and the instructions are difficult to follow. I would like to purchase another 4 drawer dresser, but I'm on the fence.

Easy to put together but a lot of pieces! My 11 year old son and I put it together over the course of two days for my youngest son. Three hours the first day and one hour the second day. I think two adults working straight with no breaks can have it completed in two hours.

The box is extremely heavy. It should be sent in two boxes. We had to open it outside and carry a few pieces out until the box was light enough for us to lift.

Tips:
1. make sure the drawers are on the correct side or they won't line up properly.
2. Have an electric screwdriver or drill because some holes aren't predrilled.

The directions are clear and easy to follow. The completed dresser seems sturdy enough. It should last a few years. The price is ok. Maybe it should be $50 cheaper for the quality of wood. It is compressed not hardwood.

Reading other reviews for this item I was concerned the instructions to build this would be hard to fallow. I had no problems with the instructions however building this was quite the project. Mainly because it has so many parts making this project time consuming. You'll need a drill and a screwdriver. I don't think I used any other tools.

The material seems nice and sturdy, I purchased this to furnish my baby's room and I plan to put a changing pad on top to use and a changing table. I think this dresser/cabinet combo is a really nice setup. And as a bonus it matches the crib rather nicely.

Shipping was faster then expected, everything was packaged nicely, nothing damaged. All pieces included nothing missing. It turned out very nice. Fit my needs perfectly.

Edit: we have had this dresser for nearly 2 years now and have had zero problems. The drawers still pull open just as smoothly as they always have and aside from some very minor wear it is still very sturdy and in good shape. We also purchased another one, a chest for our spare room and we love it. Once again the shipping was fast and the product undamaged. The chest a easier to assemble and I Would definitely recommend these dressers.

This product was a huge disappointment. The overall quality is very low and even if you take your time and glue all exposed wood joint you will be left with large gaps between panels which are quite visible.

The tolerances between finished pieces are unacceptably large, even for a low-cost self-assembled product.
The particleboard used in this piece is particularly of low quality, it possesses very little structural strength and will swell and fall apart within a few months of humidity cycling as normally experienced in an indoor household environment. For comparison it is quite inferior to Ikea particleboard.

The provided hardware is also of the absolute lowest grade. The main chest is somewhat acceptable once built, but the drawers routing holes for the wood dowels are very poorly executed and all the drawers will have defects, perforated vinyl laminate, broken parts and not align correctly. The drawer knobs are the only quality parts of this product.

The box came with so much white Styrofoam which had disintegrated everywhere. You will be vacuuming for a while.

This corporation manufactures this product in Malaysia and obviously has not invested in quality control and quality assurance programs. It has obviously spent much time in cost cutting, but unfortunately those savings have not passed down to the consumer, the only thing inherited by the paying public is the resultant mediocre quality. The value of this product absolutely does not equate with the price paid.

It seems at least in our case that this corporation's skillset is better at extracting money from its customers then designing and delivering a product of value.

I've purchased and assembled many products from Ikea and this item is a far cry from anything in Ikea. I've seen cardboard which is stronger. I won't ever purchase from Storkcraft again.
